Before choosing a price in the estimate for reinforcement, it is important to study the technological and design data and requirements necessary for the correct and safe construction of a particular facility. During the construction of a facility, when carrying out concrete work and erecting structures made of concrete, brick, stone and many other materials, there is often a need to reinforce the structures being built. Reinforcement is performed with the aim of strengthening the structure in relation to destructive external factors such as temperature changes, soil shrinkage, changes in humidity and many others.

Reinforcement of wall, floor, and ceiling structures can be made from various materials, for example, reinforcing steel, anchors, and mesh. The choice of material for reinforcement directly depends on what the reinforced structure is made of and what loads it will bear during operation. All this data must be indicated in the design documentation of the construction project, with an exact indication of the brands, manufacturers, volume and other indicators of all materials for this type of work.

One of the most commonly used materials for reinforcement is reinforcing mesh. Meshes are made from different materials, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, metal reinforcing mesh is the most durable and stable, especially if you need to strengthen and secure load-bearing monolithic structures. However, the metal mesh is susceptible to corrosion over time, and the lack of flexibility and ductility can cause the destruction of the concrete structure itself. In this regard, in construction, meshes made of polymer and fiberglass materials, as well as fiberglass, are often used to reinforce structures. At the moment, there are many manufacturers of reinforcement mesh on the market, which differ not only in the material from which they are made, but also in the size of the cells, production method and other indicators.

Most often, the price in the estimate for concrete reinforcement is provided as part of the work for the construction of concrete structures. As can be seen in Figure 1, welding and installation of reinforcement in a reinforced concrete structure is a necessary condition for the correct execution of this type of work without violating building codes and safety regulations. Reinforcement is one of the most durable and resistant materials, and therefore it is used to strengthen and protect against destruction load-bearing monolithic structures, foundations, floors, ceilings, that is, structures whose operation is associated with heavy loads and unfavorable external conditions.

The reinforcement, as a rule, is supplied in 11.7 m rods, then cut directly on the construction site to the required lengths and laid in the concrete structure. Reinforcement comes in different classes and brands, the choice of which also depends on the design data and concrete parameters. Therefore, the use of prices in estimates for concrete reinforcement requires careful analysis.

A similar method should be applied if a quote is needed in the estimate for reinforcement of concrete slabs. When applying a particular price in this case, it is also necessary to analyze and compile a lot of data, including the method of performing the work, the parameters of the materials used, etc. For example, the thickness of the reinforcement should be selected based on the thickness of the concrete; depending on the brand of concrete and additives in its composition, the price in the estimate for reinforcement, etc., should be selected. .

The essence of styling

The cement screed method allows you to obtain a solid base for the floor and improve the performance of hydro and thermal insulation in an apartment or facility. The concrete laying method is used in cases where specialists are dealing with an uneven surface. In this case, the filling will be done at an angle that allows it to be brought into the appropriate form; in addition, it allows you to mask some defects.

Taking into account the new method, such a base is perfect for new buildings with a “rough” finish; in addition, it has additional thermal insulation characteristics. In addition, the cement mixture will help distribute the load over the entire surface.

Dismantling

It is often included in the overall estimate for pouring concrete on the floor as a preparatory item. This is entirely acceptable if the contractor performs a full range of work. But sometimes it may be planned to first remove the old concrete floor and then move on to installing the new one. The work of workers is also taken into account (often calculated by floor area - the cost is initially indicated per 1 square meter in prices). Sometimes, painting large volumes may require additional equipment (for example, paint sprayers) - in this case, the material consumption is usually greater than when painting using the standard method. But workers' pay will be lower. Plus, the work gets done faster. The rental of such equipment is usually paid separately or included in the total cost of the contractor's services.
  • Filling. Sometimes concrete is poured over an existing surface. For example, if the screed is already outdated, but there is no point in changing it, then you can simply pour concrete on top. In this case, the estimate includes the same costs as for standard work, but without surface preparation. In addition, significantly less material will also be required, since the layer will be quite thin.
  • Reinforcement. Often, before pouring the floor, additional reinforcement is carried out - in this case, half of the concrete is first poured, then a frame is made from reinforcement and the rest of the mortar is poured on top. This allows you to strengthen the floor. This is especially important in old structures, where the entire object needs to be strengthened directly. This is also important for industrial premises with increased load. The estimate includes the cost of purchasing the fittings itself, renting welding equipment, and also a significant cost item is the payment of workers - they are the ones who do the main work to complete the task. It should also be taken into account that in this case, usually more solution is required than when pouring the floor with concrete.
  • Repair. The concrete poured floor may be in quite normal condition, but there may be some cracks or potholes - in this case it does not need to be completely replaced, but only repaired to the coating. In this case, concrete is poured only in certain places. In this case, the main expense items will be payment to workers and the purchase of materials (still, not too many of them are needed). In some cases, if you need to first remove part of the concrete, then additional equipment will be needed. If the contractor does not have it, then the rent is indicated in the estimate.
  • Padding. This is an integral part of pouring concrete for the floor. It is the primer that significantly strengthens the surface, increases the service life of the floor, and also prepares the coating for further finishing. The estimate usually includes only the purchase of the material itself and payment to the workers. Sometimes priming can be carried out using special equipment - in this case, costs can often even be reduced. It is impossible to specifically predict the cost here because the range for the primer is too large. The higher the quality, the more expensive it is. At the same time, if we are talking about production facilities, workshops, then there is no point in paying too much money - it is enough to choose a completely budget option.

General concepts

It should be said right away that usually the floor is poured with concrete, taking into account not only the wishes of the customer, but also the standards, especially when it comes to industrial premises or the initial commissioning of a residential building. For such areas, special regulations provide for certain requirements and standards: floor thickness, concrete characteristics, proportions when mixing the solution. If the technology is violated, the facility may not be accepted for operation at all, or serious problems will arise in the future for the person who approved the calculations. All estimated standards are indicated in TSN-2001.3-11 (Chapter 3 is devoted to construction work, namely collection 11 - to work in relation to the floor). The price here is taken from 11-01-011-09.

That is why the contractor must first familiarize himself with the object itself, and then make all the calculations in accordance with which particular group it belongs to. Next, you will need to explain to the customer that the increase in cost and the use of more material is not just a defect or an increase in the cost of the object, but a necessity. The amount of material that will need to be purchased will depend on how high the floor is poured.

Installation stages

Whatever material is used as reinforcement, the operating procedure is the same in each method. Stages of work:

  • The surface is cleaned of debris and dirt, large defects and depressions are sealed with a solution, a base is prepared, which is primed before installing the screed;
  • Stones, metal scraps, and tubes are laid out, on which the reinforcing mesh is laid at a height of 2-3 cm from the base. The meshes are laid overlapping and tied together with thin knitting wire.
  • Islands are made of mortar where the beacons will be installed. The width between beacons is from 150 cm, but does not exceed 230 cm, one size is selected for installing beacon profiles;
  • The reinforcing mesh is laid firmly, so you can move along it; if not, then islands are made for pouring mortar;
  • The solution is poured; for large areas, the screed is laid in stages; after the cement mixture has set, the profiles are removed and the surface is leveled.

Reinforcement of masonry walls. Price in estimate.

By analogy with the reinforcement of concrete structures and floors, it is possible to reinforce masonry walls. It is noteworthy that reinforcement of walls is possible if the walls are made not only of concrete and concrete structures, but also of brick, stone, concrete and aerated concrete blocks. For example, as can be seen in Figure 2, the price in the estimate for the reinforcement of masonry walls is part of the scope of work even when laying the facing layer. In addition, the use of reinforcing mesh is often used for wall finishing work such as surface filling. These methods are used in the same way as when reinforcing other surfaces, in order to protect and strengthen the finish, and its long-term service.

Floor reinforcement. Price in estimate.

When approaching the choice of prices in the estimate for floor reinforcement, just as when reinforcing any other structure, it is necessary to rely on sheets and diagrams of the project for the construction of a specific facility. When reinforcing the floor, reinforcing bars or reinforcing mesh are most often used.
