Dock formwork - for the construction of objects of any complexity

The construction market offers consumers formwork structures, among which products from the Doka company (Austria) are popular. It specializes in the production of horizontal and vertical formwork, guaranteeing a high level of quality and reliability of each element. Doka formwork is used for the construction of objects of varying complexity; with the help of this equipment, not only residential buildings, but also industrial premises are successfully built.

Areas of use

Doka's panel formworks have found a wide range of applications in the construction industry.

They are used for:

  • pouring foundations, erecting walls and supporting structures. One example is the FRAMIXlife formwork, a convenient equipment used in the economical and efficient construction of small areas. Framax system elements are made of lightweight galvanized metal and equipped with special fasteners that allow the structure to be quickly erected, adapting it to various shapes;
  • DOKASET formworks – such kits are used in the construction of high-rise structures. Installation is carried out outside the facility; compared to similar equipment, the system is distinguished by a smaller number of anchor-type fasteners;
  • For the construction of columns of square and rectangular shapes, the KSXlife formwork set is used, which has various sections from twenty to sixty centimeters and is equipped with folding mechanics. A solid block can be moved without problems using a crane, and if the height of the object under construction is not too large, then such operations can be carried out manually;
  • DOKARS design – equipment made of tallow material designed for casting round columns. It has rigid fasteners, which makes it possible to precisely join half-columns to create products with a perfectly flat surface.

doka formworks are not only multifunctional, but also have a large margin of strength and high manufacturability, and are able to adapt to a design solution of any level of complexity.

Assortment and main parameters

The manufacturer presents a large assortment of metal dock structures, differing in both panel sizes and technical characteristics. Here are the most popular modifications most often used in the construction industry:

  • frame formwork Framax - the number of components is small, equipped with a modular mesh in increments of fifteen centimeters for installation vertically or horizontally. All connections and components fit completely into the grid, which speeds up construction and ensures a good profitability rate. Framax is a wall formwork characterized by a powerful frame made of steel frame, which allows it to withstand heavy loads. To protect against corrosion, the elements are coated with a zinc layer and paint powder. There is a mounting groove along the outer profile, which allows you to fix the mounting lock in the right place. This makes it possible to quickly align the frames during installation without using additional stops. In accordance with GOST, formwork panels may differ in different sizes. The width of the universal version is 0.9 m, but for the consumer, taking into account his wishes, there are always available boards whose width is 0.24 or 0.3 m. The height of the boards varies from 1.35 to 3.3 m, thickness - 21 mm. One of the varieties of such formwork is Alu-Framax, the panel frames of which are made of aluminum alloy;

  • Panel formwork for floors Dokadek 30 is a beamless structure consisting of lightweight metal frames with decks made of polymer composites. It combines the advantages of panel structures for the installation of floors and the advantages of the Dokaflex kit. This means that under standard operating conditions it works quickly because its shield area does not exceed three square meters. This option is represented by a system of telescopic supports, horizontal panels, wood beams and lowered heads. The parts quickly adapt to different working conditions. The formwork panels are made of impact-resistant plastic, which prevents the deck from deforming under the load created by the concrete mass. For protection purposes, the racks are coated with a zinc layer, which allows them to be used for quite a long time. These elements can withstand rated loads at different levels of extension. With the help of a lowering head, you can quickly dismantle the formwork structure, because one blow with a hammer is enough to lower the head by six centimeters. The beams have plastic rivets that increase the strength and service life of the structure;
  • self-moving climbing formwork system SKE plus - modular structures can offer effective solutions for any type of structure. The existing continuous type protective fence makes it possible to perform work in any weather conditions. The hydraulically driven lift is capable of simultaneously moving a large number of attachment sections;
  • SK 175 is a formwork structure designed for the construction of cooling towers. It is a fully automated and self-propelled lifting system with large-format elements. Capable of ensuring the maximum level of innovation and minimizing manual labor. After completing a short training course, maintenance personnel are able to concrete grips in a one-day cycle;

  • Formwork K is a lifting and adjustable device used in the construction of facilities where structural elements can be easily shifted across several grips. Folding scaffolding structures are lightweight; with the help of a couple of components at the construction site, they can be fully prepared for work and moved using a crane;
  • The MF240 is another lifting kit that helps keep construction work flowing on all types of buildings, including high-rise buildings, bridge pylons and support structures. The system is easy to maintain, helps to concrete walls with an inclined angle of up to fifteen degrees, and is absolutely adapted to different requirements in a wide range;
  • TOP 50 is a version of a large-panel formwork system, which consists of wooden beams equipped with tips made of plastic material, crossbar elements and formwork slabs. Using all the parts, it is possible to build formwork of the required height. The design is known for its good rigidity; the available special linings increase the resistance to compression and tension;
  • FF 20 – formwork for walls. The kit consists of ready-made blocks that can be quickly connected according to the required parameters.

Doka's company produces formwork for monolithic construction not only with retractable racks, but also on tables (volumetric beams). With the help of such structures it is possible to install heavy floors, because they are characterized by good stability and reliability.

How to calculate the number of boards for formwork

Lumber is sold in cubic meters, so the developer needs to determine in cubes how much and what type of board is needed for the foundation formwork. Since shields will be assembled from it, it is necessary to calculate what their length will be. For strip foundations, it corresponds to the total length of all walls, multiplied by 2 (since the panels are placed parallel to each wall), and for slab foundations, it corresponds to the perimeter of the slab.

For example, the total length of the boards turned out to be 110 m, the height is 90 cm. We take the thickness of the board 50 mm and calculate the cubic capacity:

110*0.9*0.05=4.95 m³

In addition to the board, bars are needed to fix the sheathing in the panels and install supports. Usually their number is about 40% of the number of boards - in our case it turns out to be 1.98 m³.

For each quantity, a 10% allowance for cutting waste should be added.

To calculate how many pieces of board there are in a cubic meter, you should calculate the cubic capacity of one board and then divide. It all depends on what boards are used to make the formwork for the foundation. Let's say we take a size of 100*50*6000 mm - this is 0.03 m³. Divide 4.95 m³ by 0.03, we get 165 pieces of boards.

Benefits of use

We figured out what dock-type formwork is. Now let's study the advantages of using such structures:

  • high-quality formworks are distinguished by the accuracy of the geometric parameters of each element;
  • assembly is quick and simple, dismantling work is also not difficult;
  • the use of formwork guarantees complete safety on the construction site;
  • all structures are reusable;
  • formworks are distinguished by reasonable prices and a wide range of parts;
  • if the need arises, formwork panels can be made according to individual parameters;
  • There is always the opportunity to rent a structure so as not to spend extra money on its purchase.

Dock formwork is well known to builders, and reviews of such structures are very positive. Most often, preference is given to Framax, which can be used in the construction of structures of any level of complexity. As a rule, it is used to build walls.

When comparing dock and peri formwork, you can immediately see the differences. The peri is represented by a structure whose height is equal to an entire floor. The main part of the set is boards, the width of which reaches 2.4 m. To join opening sections and passages, boards of smaller sizes are used. Peri kits are used for laying foundations and building walls. The installation technology is quite simple due to the fact that the formwork includes a small number of components.

Buy or rent

Doka formwork systems can be purchased in most cities. However, when carrying out individual construction, the volume of work is not so large that the purchase of formwork is financially feasible.

To perform a limited amount of work, it is more profitable to rent formwork kits. In this case, the cost will be determined by the period during which the kit will be in operation.

Doka's formwork systems are profitable, convenient and reliable. They can be used to create a wide variety of monolithic structures, which is why the equipment is in demand in private and professional construction. The complexes of elements are distinguished by their versatility; they are easily assembled and dismantled after the concrete mixture has hardened.

Auxiliary products from Doc

In addition to formwork, the company produces a number of other products used in the construction industry:

  • Support scaffolding Staxo 100 – their durable frames made of steel material are designed for high supporting elements and can withstand significant loads. Whatever the situation, the design guarantees safety and excellent load-bearing capacity;
  • three-layer slabs for formwork, made of bakelized plywood. They are distinguished by their versatility in use;
  • Doka floor racks are an excellent solution for support if construction takes place in difficult conditions. The racks are equipped with devices that protect against pinching and falling out, are equipped with forged nuts, galvanized, and have ergonomic clamps in the form of brackets. This is a small part of the functional components that convinces the user to choose steel supports;
  • protective screens Xclimb 60 – guarantee the safety of construction work and protect from precipitation. The screens are lifting and adjustable elements with a hydraulic drive device, which can be moved to the desired location with a free crane. The presence of permanent fixation to the structure under construction creates the opportunity for pouring even during strong wind loads. Different uses create conditions for selecting suitable solutions for different requirements.
